We're thrilled to announce a landmark strategic partnership between Cadira Foundation and the Maharashtra State Cyber Department, Government of Maharashtra. This collaboration has been formalized through the signing of an MOU between Cadira Foundation and the office of the Additional Director General Cyber Police, Maharashtra IPS Shri Yashasvi Yadav. Our shared goal is to advance cybersecurity awareness, digital ethics, digital transformation, gender justice, and AI ethics across the state. This partnership couldn't have come at a more critical time. According to the National Crimes Records (NCR), India has seen a significant surge in cybercrimes, with a 24.4% rise in 2023 against women and a 32% increase in cybercrimes against children in the same year. These crimes include alarming trends in sextortion, cyberstalking, non-consensual image sharing, deep fakes, revenge porn, online grooming, hacking, cyberbullying, online financial frauds, and cyber slavery.Together, we're committed to tackling these issues head-on, using our combined resources and expertise to create a safer digital environment for everyone in Maharashtra. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and initiatives!

Combating Cybercrimes: Our Advocacy for Women and Children's Safety

At the recent "Beijing 30+ Women Justice and Security in a Changing World" event at UNODC, our organization took a strong stand on the escalating threat of cybercrimes against women and children. We highlighted how the digital realm, while offering connection, also presents serious risks, from online harassment and exploitation to human trafficking facilitated through technology.

Our advocacy focused on the urgent need for robust legal protections and comprehensive policies to safeguard these vulnerable groups. We stressed that no single nation can tackle this global challenge alone; international cooperation is paramount to ensure swift prosecution, victim support, and a truly secure online environment for all. We remain committed to championing these vital efforts.
